The two years of Euroculture helped me become a real multi-cultural person, a critical thinker and an expert in my interest: cultural diplomacy between European and Asian countries. Within the course I had the opportunity to spend a semester at the University of Pune, in India, which was an amazing and truly life changing experience! My decision to write my master thesis at the University of Strasbourg turned out to be the best I could make. Not only because the city of Strasbourg has it all when it comes to the history, art, and institutions of Europe but also because I have received so much support and encouragement from my professors and supervisor at the University of Strasbourg that it still lasts even now, five months after my graduation. During my stay in Strasbourg I could improve my French knowledge, which is really necessary if you want to take the most out of living and studying in a French city. In short, I have a lot to be thankful for to Strasbourg: my knowledge, my memories and not less importantly, my love!

Coming from Strasbourg, studying in that city was not new. But it gave me a real insight in its European institutions and their functioning. Not only in theory, but also in practice by visiting them and meeting civil servants and parliamentarians. I particularly liked the classes on European politics and on European governance. Plus, the international class atmosphere gives you a wide range of point of views in debates and discussions.

I was a Euroculture student from 2011 until 2013.

My home university was the university of Strasbourg.
Thus I spent my first semester in this beautiful microcosm and decided to get back for my fourth and final semester.

Strasbourg is in the East of France. Thanks to its proximity with Germany and its history, Strasbourg enjoys a multicultural, entertaining and varied atmosphere and embodies many of the European ideas I got to study during the Euroculture programme.

The teaching staff at the university reflects the global aspect of the city and the students have the chance to hear many different accents on a daily basis making every (already fascinating) class that little bit more personal and therefore interesting.
The University of Strasbourg has a particular focus on cultural history, the arts and architecture.

Thus, your teaching, besides developing your mind and your research skills, will make your feelings towards the city grow.

The beauty of the campus matches the one of the city and it is not a problem to find any academic publication in French, English or German.

Biking is the best way to travel around: the special paths for bikes will allow you to wander by the bank of the river or near the cathedral les cheveux dans le vent.

After my first semester at the University of Strasbourg, I joined the University of Udine and the University of Pune.
After my graduation, I gained more professional experience at the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain and at the Delegation of the European Union to India.

The knowledge of international relations, the functioning of the European Union and its relationship with India allowed me to get a position at the House of India, in Paris, where I am currently working.

Only a euroculture student would therefore understand why I feel grateful towards Strasbourg for allowing me to study and work in Italy, the United Kingdom and India and get a job where I feel fulfilled and active and where I start another chapter of my life. Another multicultural one that feels comfortable for I was a Euroculture student.

What I liked best about the Euroculture programme was the possibility to study and live in different places. This combined with a group of students and lecturers from different places and backgrounds led to a true intercultural experience.

The interdisciplinary approach leaves space for personal input, this way I was able to focus on subtopics that were really interesting to me. I would advise new students to make a clear idea about what you want out of the master and what direction you want to go afterwards. This can be a topic you are already familiar with, but the Masters does also leave room for you to specialize in something new.

I consider Strasbourg a very pleasant city to live in. First of all because of the international atmosphere that stems from the presence of the Council of Europe, European Parliament, as well as all the other smaller international organisations and companies. Furthermore, its proximity to Germany, but also Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg make Strasbourg a perfect base to discover many parts of Europe.

Euroculture provided me with an opportunity to travel to different countries and meet a whole lot of interesting people from different cultural and academic backgrounds. It also led to an internship at the Indian Embassy in Berlin, which led to my current job in an academic research centre under the Ministry of Culture in India. I can’t thank the program enough for it! The Euroculture Program in Strasbourg with its courses on Culture and Art History was close to my research interests. In the last semester, it has great job-oriented courses, ensuring that the students get enough time for course-work, research, and travel!

Studying in Strasbourg has been a wonderful experience. 
I fell in love with this city at the very first sight and I then had the opportunity to truly enjoy it. Monuments, green areas, bikes, European institutions... Strasbourg has got a lot to offer and it always makes you feel welcome.

Euroculture at the University of Strasbourg is a unique programme. I had the chance to study with very competent professors and to take classes in several different disciplines, such as sociology, politics and law. What I liked the most of the Euroculture Master in Strasbourg is the attention devoted to minorities and human rights. To this regard, being my MA thesis on human rights and European integration, I was very glad to write it in Strasbourg as the University library is very well furnished with several books and essays on the topic and I had no difficulties in finding lots of material on my subject in English, too.

For me, Euroculture was a unique experience in so many ways: by combining high mobility with a wide selection of classes that allowed me to pursue my areas of interest, the program gave me the opportunity to fine-tune my professional objectives and to gain invaluable knowledge and practical skills. Studying in a European capital such as Strasbourg was particularly advantageous owing to the many international and European institutions in the city that added a very hands-on dimension to the curriculum. The Euroculture experience is not one to miss out on!
